Service Objectives
The Independent Living Program (ILP) was started by the Yang Memorial Methodist Social Service in 1983 as a pilot project for mentally handicapped adults. To continue the success of the ILP, a Bradbury Day Activity Centre was opened in October, 1992. It provides systematic, comprehensive and long term training aiming to enable the trainees become more independent, to develop their potential and integrate them in the society. Besides, it strengthens the support network of the families so as to reduce the stress of their care-givers.
