Service Target

The target group for SHOS is persons with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities aged 15 or above, 

Actively occupied in various forms of employment of day training, open appointment, community rehabilitation day centre, integrated vocational training centre, special education

Capable of semi-independent living, i.e. mastery of self-care skills, but may need a fair amount of guidance/assistance in cooking or washing or washing or shopping etc

Physically and mentally suitable for group living

Application of Services

1. Supported Hostel: Referrals can be made by social workers and staff of rehabilitation service units to the Central Referral System for Rehabilitation Services of the Social Welfare Department.
2. Respite Service: referral from rehabilitation services, medical social work services, integrated family service centres, special schools.

Fee

Hostel Service:
$897 per month for 50% disabled adults
$977 per month for 100% disabled adults/ Disability Allowance recipients

Respite Service:
$33 per day
