Assistant Director – Rehabilitation and Family services
Job Purpose:
Plan, formulate, oversee and develop Rehabilitation and Family services in order to enhance Agency’s overall service quality and ensure services provided fulfill service users’ needs appropriately.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic advices and take a lead on formulating Agency’s development strategies, directions, service principles and human resources policies to Director
- Explore resources for leading new service implementation and development to align with Agency’s strategies, community needs and welfare policy
- Expand self-financed services’ business
- Evaluate and monitor human resources allocation and management
- Oversee financial and budget of Divisions
- Attend external meetings in representing Agency to promote Agency’s image and services, and form partnership and network
- Develop risk management controls and contingency plans
- Strengthen the positive and cooperative working culture for collaboration with multi-disciplinary/divisions
- Train and develop 2nd tier management staff for the sake of Agency’s talent development and succession planning
- Capitalize knowledge of service operation
- Handle complaints and service improvement
- Lead and motivate Divisions to achieve Agency’s objectives
- Reinforce staff’s understanding on internal policies, VMV
- Participate joint meetings and service projects with district units under Methodist Church
- Participate projects/tasks assigned by the Director
Requirements:
- Registered Social Worker with Bachelor Degree in Social Work or above
- 10 years or above solid social work experience and 5 years or above with supervisory experience in the role of Social Work Officer or equivalent
- Priority given to experience in Rehabilitation & Family Services, service development, and crisis management
- Competency in administration and professionals supervision
- Excellent in spoken and written English and Chinese
- Self-motivated, positive, resourceful, presentable, a good team player
- Strong sense of social consciousness, good leadership and management skills, good interpersonal skills and flexible
- Possess with strategic thinking is an advantage
- Keen on learning and courage to face challenges
