Service objectives
- To provide needy parents with a flexible form of day childcare service at the neighbourhood level and, at the same time.
- To foster mutual help and care in the community. It also serves as a safety net to provide a safe venue for children whose parents/ carers have to stay away from home on occasions due to various personal commitments or sudden engagement, and to minimise the risk of children being left unattended.

- To relieve parents’/carers’ stress, and enhance their family capacity
- To build mutual help, nurture and organise child carers for a supportive network
Service contents
- Home-based childcare service: provides childcare service for
-
- newborn to pre-primary school children, and
-
- primary school children with care needs at the child carers’ own residence or a suitable place as approved by the service operator.
- Centre-based care group: offers childcare service to children from 3 years old to primary school level with care needs at the service centre of the service operator.
Service targets
Children aged 0 to preschool and primary school students with service needs. Parents of the above-mentioned children
- may be required to work long/ unstable hours or encounter other irregular/ emergency needs;
- be lack of childcare support network;
- have financial or social difficulties and are unable to find care services by their own means.

Kowloon City district (Including Hung Hom, Ho Man Tin, To Kwa Wan, Kowloon City, Kai Tak)
Application of services
Contact our centre staff to arrange the procedures; you need to complete the relevant application/ assessment/ matching procedures. Arrangement of services is subject to matching results.
Withdrawal of services
Contact staffs for service withdrawal via phone contact or visiting our centre during opening hours.
Fee
- Home-based childcare service: $28 per hour
- Centre-based care group (CCG): $20 per hour
Service users with social needs and financial hardship may approach service operators for fee waiving application.
Centre Opening hours
- Monday to Friday:From 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. (Lunch 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.)
- Saturday: From 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
(Except public holidays)
Be our child carers, please !
- Aged 18 or above
- Arrive Hong Kong for two years or more
- Be mature, responsible, healthy and like children
- Be capable and experienced in child-rearing
- Home environment is tidy and safe.
- Completion of 14-hour training course, passed in practical test and home safety assessment
