Service Objectives
Through the Love of Christ, our goal is to provide a residential home service that has an at-home feeling for frail elders. We strive to provide professional care that respects the human dignity and privacy of each individual user, and in the process, help all users to benefit from our physical, mental, social and spiritual quality care, and to enjoy their senior years in satisfaction.
Service Contents
- A considerate, homely setting that provides responsive personal care; independent bathrooms and toilets; and an overall comfortable environment using a soft/warm colour scheme and a barrier free design;
- Intelligent care: Our setting is fully equipped with WIFI for electronic communications. For the non-subsidized rooms, a television set is provided for each room, while all residents’ rooms have fully automatic medial ebds that are equipped for water leak detection and an automatic detection system for unsupervised wandering.
- Provides a Harmonious and Happy Environment by organizing multifaceted activities and interests, and encourages family members to participate fully to facilitate a happy family environment.
- Medical services: Residents are visited by registered medical practitioners on a regular basis.
- Nursing care: Professional nursing care is provided by our nursing staff.
- Daily personal care: Personal care activities, e.g. feeding, changing clothes, bathing, toileting, and other specific care activities are provided by our trained personal care workers.
- Rehabilitation Therapy: Our physiotherapists and occupational therapists will design appropriate rehabilitation therapy plans for individual residents, based on their specific needs.
- Counselling Service: Our Registered Social Workers will take care of the mental wellbeing of our residents, and help them to handle individual problems and/or needs.
- Social Recreational Activities: We organize different groups, interest classes, outdoor activities, celebrations for festivals, etc. to enable residents to enjoy living and to be happy.
- Therapeutic groups: We organize different therapeutic groups to meet the needs of our residents, e.g. narrative therapy groups, reality orientation groups, sensory training groups, music therapy groups, etc.
Carer Support Service: We provide temporary daycare service, loan of rehabilitation equipment, health talks and other support activities to help carers cope with the pressure in looking after their elderly family members. - Transportation Service: Our residential home has two <buses/vans> to provide transportation for daycare service users, and to escort residents to nearby or specified government clinics.
- Occasional Short-term Residential Care Service: We provide occasional residential care service for short-term service users when a subsidized place has become temporarily vacant.
Service Target
- Who are 60 years old or over;
- Who are weak in health, and who need a limited amount of nursing care;
- Whose medical conditions are deemed stable, and without communicable diseases;
- Who are suitable for group living, and without disturbing or aggressive/violent behaviours;
- Who lack family members’ care and attention during daytime;
- Who are not bedridden;
- Who have been assessed by the Social Welfare Department by means of the Standardized Care Need Assessment Mechanism for the Elderly, and are deemed suitable for receiving daycare service.
Our daycare service has a capacity of 32 places in total. In addition, we have another 4 places for daytime temporary care.
Application of Services
Applications can be made in person or by telephone during our Centre’s opening hours. Applicants can also approach the Social Welfare Department or an Integrated Family Service Centre, a District Elderly Community Centre, a Neighbourhood Elderly Centre, as well as the Medical Social Work Service in a hospital to make an application or request a referral. The application will then be assessed by the Social Welfare Department for service eligibility. For Daycare Service, applications can be made directly at our Daycare Centre.
Withdrawal of Services
For service users who decide to stop using our service, a written notice on service termination must be submitted to our Office at least one month in advance.

- Day care service: Mondays to Saturdays (except public holidays): 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Extended service hours: Mondays to Saturdays (except public holidays): 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Day care service during holidays (Sundays and public holidays): 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
